Project Description

I2C Structure

The I2C course is structured in three blocks :

  1. Basic Mechanisms ofIC(3 ECTS, equivalent to approx. 80 h of student workload) comprising 4 modules.
  2. Tools and competences of an effectiveIC (1,5 ECTS) comprising 3 modules (approx 40 h each field)
  3. Application Fields(1,5 ECTS by each field) comprising 2 modules  (approx 40 h each field)

Integration Modalities of I2C in education
The modular structure of I2C course will provide differentiated uses according to the needs and objectives of professors and students (i.e., different grades of granularity in addressing IC topic and examples from different fields of application) involved.
The I2C course will be used mainly according to the following modalities:

  • As on-line course: in situations where a basic introduction on IC topics is needed; for example, for students of social and economic sciences, as well as for professionals in lifelong learning.
  • As a blended course: in contexts where IC issues have to be handled more accurately, especially in communication and education sciences, as well as for teacher’s training.

In both cases, the tools developed within I2C project, will help to create an interactive and collaborative environment among students.
